I paint my original artwork on birch wood panels as they offer a resistance and toughness that allows sanding and scraping. I use a variety of mark making tools and collage materials to introduce line and texture which combine to add interest. The process of adding and subtracting in this way allows the final picture to be slowly revealed, often in unusual and unpredictable ways. This gives a unique history to each individual piece, and makes for a perfect decorative gift or present for a loved one.
